Our first ever anuual Summer Extravaganza was awesome.  Everyone came on down to the Rocklin Studio for

BBQ, Margaritas, and Dancing! 

The Showstopper Routines were inventive and very entertaining.  There were several performances that were particularly memorable, one was the Disney Fantasmic formation put together by Courtney paying homage to the hit Disneyland Production.  Tinkerbell, Mickey Mouse, and several Princesses swirled around the floor in a variety of Ballroom Dances culminating in a fight to the death between Terry Leeson as the evil witch and Bernard aka Mickey.  Also noteworthy was Brendan Routh's Lindy swing Routine with Kate, Barbara Strain's "too much butt" west coast swing with Jamila, Fred Dazo's Bikini Routini and Luz Dazo's Margaritaville Rumba (complete with Maragita sunglasses).  The Grease Rocklin Formation was delightful, and the pro numbers were exciting. 

Bobby Gonzalez wrote feedback for everyone's dancing, so make sure you schedule a time to go over a your critique and plan out your upcoming projects for Spotlight Party on August 8th!

We Just Got back from the San Francisco Dance O Rama, and it was Awesome!  Team Carmichael and Rocklin came toether to form MEGA TEAM.  We had some Dance veterans like Michael Sibley, Spencer Lowe, and Linda Lynn, as well as newcomers Alan Daurie and Nancy Bukowski.  Also on the scene to watch and cheer on their friends were Terri Leeson, Fred & Luz Dazo, Dennis & Bobbie Campbell and Kristine Alderfer.  We had the best time ever! 

Night number one included a trip to Teatro Zinzanni. Set along San Francisco’s historic waterfront, Teatro ZinZanni is a bewitching evening of European Cabaret and Cirque, Divas and Madmen, Spectacle and Sensuality with Live Music and a Gourmet Five-Course Dinner.  There was also a Wild Wild West theme party, where I hear our group had the best comstumes there: Saloon girls and Gunslingers!

Michael got the Full Bronze Top Student award!  Way to go Michael!  Spencer Lowe was a finalist in Full Bronze All Around, and Nancy, Alan, and Linda were all finalists in Closed Competions!

Our Instructors also did an Amazing job, competing at the professional level.  Kevin Sanchez & Sarah Stokes took 3rd in the Future Champions Rhythm division.  Tommy & Candice won the Open Rhythm.  Bernard & Sarah Frazier and Pedro & Jamila were Semi Finalists in Open Rhythm and Salsa respectively.   Bernard and Courtney and Pedro and Jamila competed in the Open Smooth divison!  Well Done!

July 15-18th

Come join us in Irvine for the Unique Dance O Rama!  This dance vacation is a favorite for everyone!  The decorations and theme parties are AMAZING!!!  every year Unique Dance O Rama has a themed matinee show.  This year's theme is Love and Marriage, so start getting your routine music and choreography together!  There is also a Cinderella theme party, plus of course, all the fabulous freestyle competitions, routines, all around competitons and professional competitions.  So what are you waiting for, ask your teacher about Unique Dance O Rama!
